Busting Those Myths!
I'm not a good enough rider to try this!
- wrong! - We cater for any skill level, if you have a horse suitable for your own riding ability that is all we ask. Most people start with basic ball skills at a walk. Most riders are surprised by how well they do riding when focusing on something else such as catching and throwing a ball!
I don't have all that fancy gear or an arena!
- not a problem - All you need to get started is a horse and whatever you would normally ride in (bar a western saddle). Somewhere at home to practice ( doesn't have to be an arena). If you don't yet have your own horseball harness you can just as easily pass a regular soccer ball around just to get the feel of passing and catching on horseback. Most skills can be learnt in a small space. Can easily use a hula hoop suspended on a fence, or under a tree to shoot through.
I'm too old for this....
- Haha, nope. - We have riders aged from 9 to 65 that currently ride, it is up to you how far you push yourself to learn and engage. We will never ask you to do any actions that you physically can't perform, however we will empower you to challenge what you might think you 'can't do' :-)
